What You Will Do:
Welcomes all patients and family in a courteous and prompt manner, communicates effectively with all patients, visitors, employees, nursing and physician staff .
Interviews patients and/or relatives recording all demographic, financial, and clinical information to assure that patients are provided service in a timely manner.
Registers patients. Demonstrates excellent customer relation skills. Assigns inpatient beds according to hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Adheres to all financial and departmental policies and procedures consistent with the Hospital’s Mission, Vision, and Value statement.
Performs other duties and tasks as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
What You Need to Be Successful:
At least one year in hospital, Admitting, Patient Accounting, Physician’s office, or clinic setting.
Demonstrates excellent customer relations and telephone skills. Preferred experience in Bed Control.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Typing 35 wpm
